About

I’m Margo and I am an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I live in Brookline, Massachusetts. I serve the greater Boston area along with providing virtual consults anywhere in the world. I have three children, born in 2016, 2019 and August 2023. Both older ones breastfed for over 2 years. I also volunteer as a La Leche League Leader.

I chose the name “Mama Milk” because that is what my older son calls it, he will say “I want some mama milk”. Breastfeeding has given us an incredible bond. Soon after he was born I started going to a local support group. I also spent many an hour searching the internet for different issues that came up. I found the world of lactation so fascinating and I loved talking with other moms in the support group. I feel so fortunate that I was able to get support when I needed it and yet we have such a long way to go in the world to make sure that everyone has that opportunity. I support all babies and breastfeeding parents regardless of gender expression, sexual orientation, immigration status, race or ethnicity. I’m looking forward to helping you and your baby in your breastfeeding journey!

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants function and contribute as members of the maternal-child health team. They provide care in a variety of settings, while making appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community support resources. Working together with mothers, families, policymakers and society, IBCLC certificants provide expert breastfeeding and lactation care, promote changes that support breastfeeding and help reduce the risks of not breastfeeding. Prior to becoming an IBCLC, I was a CLC for five years.

The Certified Lactation Counselor® (CLC) certification is the premier National Certification in Lactation Management in the United States. CLC exam certification holders have demonstrated competence in the lactation skills, knowledge and attitudes that are essential to helping women and have agreed to comply with The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice code of ethics.
