In Home Initial Consult: I will visit you and your baby in your home. I will bring my scale to do a weighted feeding to estimate your baby’s intake during a nursing session. This appointment will be 60-90 minutes and we will talk about all of the issues you are facing and come up with a plan to make improvements.
In Home Follow Up: This appointment will be approximately 60 minutes and we will check in about all of the issues you are facing and make an adjustments needed to your care plan. I also like to incorporate Craniosacral Therapy into follow up visits. Click here for more info on CST.
Virtual Comprehensive Consult: You will receive a Google Calendar Invitation with a secure link to video chat at our scheduled appointment time. We will talk about your goals, concerns and questions. Ideally I will observe a feeding. Together we will make a plan for you and your baby to move forward. This appointment will be approximately 60-90 minutes and is ideal for newborns or older babies with multiple feeding challenges.
Virtual Mini Consult or Follow Up: You will receive a Google Calendar Invitation with a secure link to video chat at our scheduled appointment time. We will talk about your goals, concerns and questions. Ideally I will observe a feeding. Together we will make a plan for you and your baby to move forward. This appointment will be approximately 30-45 minutes and is ideal for dyads with a specific issue or topic to discuss and not requiring a comprehensive assessment and care plan. This is also an option for follow up care after an initial in person or virtual consult.
Virtual Prenatal Consult: You will receive a Google Calendar Invitation with a secure link to video chat at our scheduled appointment time. We will talk about your goals, concerns and questions. This will be tailored to your individual needs and any issues unique to you that may impact breastfeeding. A prenatal consult is a great complement to taking a general breastfeeding class.
Insurance Info: I accept the following health insurance plans: Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Tricare, some BCBS plans and Cigna PPO. I will submit a claim to your insurance company and they will pay me directly; there is no cost to you in most cases. Per the Affordable Care Act, lactation counseling is mandated to be covered in full without cost sharing. On a rare occasion with some of these plans there may be a copay, coinsurance or deductible. Please reach out to me for more information.
Self Pay: Insurance plans other than those listed above through an employer typically reimburse for lactation services. You will be billed for the appointment and will receive paperwork to submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement. At this time MassHealth does not reimburse.
